What is VolleyballRecruits.net?

VolleyballRecruits.net is an online recruiting tool endorsed by USA Volleyball as The Official Recruiting Tool of USA Volleyball. VolleyballRecruits.net members maintain an online player profile and use a Built in Messaging System to contact the college programs they are interested in. Every college program in the country is a registered user of VolleyballRecruits.net, so there is no need to go searching for email and mailing addresses anymore. Pretty awesome, right? In a nutshell, a VolleyballRecruits.net Recruiting Package gets you recruited!

Do I really need a highlight reel?

If you were a college coach, would you spend one hour watching a full match of a player you never heard of? Especially if it was 1 of 200 matches you had to review? I didn’t think so. However, if the same player sent you a 4-6 minute highlight reel, you would watch it. The highlight reel is the bait you use to get a coach to want more. If the coach likes the highlight reel, he / she will come see you in person and / or watch the full set or match you have uploaded to your profile.

VolleyballRecruits.net was started and is run by a team of former college volleyball players and coaches. As a VolleyballRecruits.net member, you receive volleyball specific guidance from the time you sign up until the time you make your college choice. We are also the only product endorsed by the sport’s governing body (USA Volleyball) and the only product to count every program in the country as a registered user.

How do you build your highlight reels?

When we build your reel, we can use any video you can get your hands on. If you have video from the high school season, club tournament or another event, we can use it to build your highlight reel! You simply fill out an online form indicating your best plays, mail us your DVDs and we have your reel uploaded to your Player Profile in 7 business days.  Our team of video experts use isolation effects in each clip to help coaches identify you from your teammates and competition immediately.  You can see some of our work here. Yes, you receive your originals back plus a copy of your new highlight reel. We have the process down to a science!

When we build your skills video,  our expert editing team will take your already shot skills footage to make sure it is easy to navigate and looks as professional as possible. Oftentimes college coaches are only interested in seeing you perform specific volleyball skills depending on the positions they need to fill in their program. Therefore, we make it easy for coaches to navigate your volleyball skills video by displaying a menu at the start of each skill video mapping out when each skill is demonstrated; this helps college volleyball coaches find exactly what they are looking for quickly.
